

Atlungstad Brenneri

Atlungstad Distillery started in 1855 as a cooperative of farmers in Stange. It is beautifully situated by Mjøs beach, within cycling distance of Hamar. Aquavit, punch and other spirits have been produced here. The distillery is still in operation for periods of the year, as we burn potato spirit in March.
The restaurant is open year round and uses exclusively Norwegian ingredients and is inspired by traditional Norwegian cuisine. Good food means a good day. Our menu consists of a solid selection of tasty and filling dishes made from ingredients of the highest quality. Atlungstad Brenneri also organizes a number of events, from cultural and wedding to courses and conferences.
We offer guided tours of the old distillery all year round with varying times depending on the season. We welcome groups of more than 10 people for tours by appointment all year round, call 62 33 00 55 or send an email to post@atlungstadbrenneri.no.

At the edge of the lake in Stange Vestbygd, Atlungstad Brenneri´s surroundings are idyllic, just a pleasant bike ride from Hamar. Atlungstad Brenneri is a unique cultural monument where you can experience Norwegian industrial architecture, distillery history and Norwegian aquavit production over the past 150 years. Here you can follow the process from the time the potato enters the building until the precious drops are bottled. Every sense is used in authentic surroundings to create golden experiences and memories.
